NÚRIA FRIGOLA TORRENT
Founder of Frigola Films / Director & Producer
Núria Frigola Torrent is a Catalan-Peruvian filmmaker and producer working between Spain and Latin America. Her work explores identity, belonging, memory and social transformation through intimate, character-driven stories.
She is currently developing Those mountains, a fiction feature as a director, and editing her latest documentary short, Tuesday We Close the Doors. Through Frigola Films, she develops and co-produces fiction and documentary projects connecting filmmakers and stories from Catalonia and Latin America.
From 2021 to 2023, Núria served as CEO of Teatro La Plaza and Los Productores, one of Peru’s leading performing arts organisations. Earlier in her career, she developed audiovisual projects and communication strategies for organisations including Amnesty International, WWF, the International Committee of the Red Cross and several UN agencies.
She is a founding member of NUNA and a member of Dones Visuals and DOCMA. In 2026, she is participating in the EURODOC programme.

VERÓNICA PÉREZ ORBEZO
Producer / Music Supervisor
Verónica is a Peruvian producer and music supervisor based in Catalonia. With over eighteen years of experience in film, television and international production services, she has worked across more than thirty independent productions in Peru, mainly as production coordinator and music supervisor. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and a Master's degree in Production from ESCAC.
In 2021, she served as Production Coordinator in Peru for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (Paramount, 2023), the largest international production ever filmed in the country. As Executive Producer, she produced Papá Youtuber (Dir. Fernando Villarán, 2019), one of Peru's most successful local box office releases, and is currently completing post-production on Perro de prensa, an Argentina–Peru co-production supported by Ibermedia and DAFO.
Her work combines extensive experience in international production, independent filmmaking and music supervision, with a strong network across Latin America and Spain. These Mountains marks her first feature produced from Catalonia.

CAROLINA DE LA ARENA CUNILLÉ
Producer
Carolina is a journalist and audiovisual producer specializing in the development and production of documentary films, factual series and television formats. With extensive experience in international productions, she combines editorial, logistical and production expertise to lead complex projects from development through delivery.
Throughout her career, she has worked as content producer, line producer, executive producer and fixer for broadcasters and streaming platforms including National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Netflix, HBO Max, ZDF and RTP, across Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, the United States and South Africa.
She has also produced international commercial campaigns in Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, France, Spain, Morocco, the Netherlands, Germany and Russia, coordinating multicultural teams and large-scale productions.
Based between Europe and Latin America, Carolina brings a strong international network, editorial sensitivity and a collaborative approach to every project. Alongside documentary and television production, she has a particular passion for music videos, a format she continues to produce whenever possible.
JESSICA STEINER
Director of Photography
Jessica is a cinematographer and photographer from Cadaqués, on the Costa Brava, whose work is deeply shaped by the landscapes and natural light of the Emporda region. A graduate in Cinematography from ESCAC, she combines a strong visual sensibility with extensive experience in documentary and fiction filmmaking.
She has collaborated with Núria Frigola since 2014, when they both lived in Peru, working together on projects including the award-winning documentary Daughter of the Lake (Hija de la laguna).
As Director of Photography, her feature credits include Last Stop Before Chocolate Mountain (2022), which premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. She continues to work across film, photography and visual storytelling, bringing an intimate and observational approach to every project.
JO ROBINSON
Composer
Jo Robinson is a pianist, composer and arranger whose work spans film, theatre and dance. After performing internationally with jazz, blues, rock, folk and reggae ensembles, she turned her focus to composing original scores for visual storytelling.
Her music has accompanied dozens of productions in London, Melbourne and Barcelona, developing a distinctive voice shaped by intimacy, emotional subtlety and contemporary neo-classical influences. Based in the Catalan mountains, she creates cinematic scores that combine lyrical melodies with atmospheric textures.
FIONA BATLLE
Assistant producer
Fiona is from Besalu, currently studying a Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Communication in Barcelona, while developing her first professional experience in film production. With experience in theatre and street theatre, she brings youth, creativity, adaptability and a collaborative spirit to audiovisual projects.
She joined Frigola Films as a production assistant on the short film Tuesday We Close the Doors (Dimarts es tanquen les portes), supporting the production across a wide range of tasks on set and behind the scenes.
